PARENTS AS PARTNERS
At Mudpies & Lullabies Preschool, we believe that parent communication and involvement are the cornerstones of a successful early education experience. We invite parents to share information about family traditions and values, and we do our best to plan learning experiences that integrate those ideals. Respecting your role as your child’s first teacher, we also rely on your input to better understand your child’s developmental needs.
Our teachers and directors are always available to answer your questions, to review your child's progress or to discuss any concerns that you may have.
We proudly offer “Childrenview” online camera access to all enrolled families at no additional cost. We have an open door policy and welcome visits from mom, dad, grandma or grandpa. Parents are also frequently invited to participate in our day-to-day activities, as guest speakers, storytellers, and classroom party volunteers.
In addition, we will keep you informed of your child's personal development and the daily events at the school through daily reports for infants and toddlers, semi-annual preschool and pre-k evaluations, posted lesson plans, and monthly newsletters:
- Checkpoints – Our computerized check-in system allows the school directors to post messages to your account. You’ll be informed of school events and account-specific information each time you sign in.
- Parent's Board - We post information in each classroom about upcoming events, the current month's menu, classroom notes, and much more.
- Daily Reports - Every day you will receive a written report outlining your infant or toddler’s day at Mudpies. Naps, meals, behavior and personalized comments are noted on your child's individual report.
- Weekly Curriculum Calendars -Each week your child’s teacher will post the learning theme, lesson plans, and special events on the parent board in the classroom.
- Monthly Newsletters - Every month you will receive a newsletter highlighting the upcoming school events and other important information.
- Preschool & Pre-K Evaluations - We perform several evaluations during the year for our preschool and pre-k children. This helps us to track your child's development and inform you of his/her progress.
